# Expert Suggestions:

01 -
  • The homemade sauce strikes that perfect balance between sweet and smoky that store bought versions never quite achieve
  • Everything comes together in under an hour but tastes like you spent all day tending a smoker
02 -
  • Dont skip the butter on the bun tops it transforms them from soft to perfectly golden and slightly crisp
  • Let the chicken rest in the sauce for a few minutes off the heat so it really absorbs all that flavor
03 -
  • Use rotisserie chicken to cut the cooking time in half just shred and mix with the prepared sauce
  • A pinch of chipotle powder in the sauce adds incredible depth without overwhelming heat
