# How to Prepare:

01 - Combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, Italian herbs, and lemon zest in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly to incorporate all flavors.
02 - Add shrimp to the bowl and toss until evenly coated. Allow to marinate for 5 minutes at room temperature.
03 - Sprinkle grated Parmesan and chopped parsley over the marinated shrimp. Toss again to distribute the coating evenly.
04 - Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 2 minutes before cooking.
05 - Place shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
06 - Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket or turning the shrimp halfway through. Shrimp are done when opaque and lightly golden.
07 - Transfer shrimp to a serving platter. Garnish with additional fresh parsley and accompany with lemon wedges.

# Expert Suggestions:

01 -
  • The air fryer creates this gorgeous caramelized exterior while keeping the shrimp impossibly tender inside
  • You can prep everything in one bowl and cleanup is basically nonexistent
  • These disappear faster than any other appetizer I've ever served
02 -
  • Overcooked shrimp turn into rubber remarkably fast, pull them out the second they're opaque
  • Crowding the air fryer basket creates steam instead of that gorgeous sear, work in batches if needed
  • The lemon wedges aren't just garnish, that squeeze of acid right before eating is what makes everything pop
03 -
  • Pat your shrimp completely dry with paper towels before marinating, excess water creates steam instead of crispy edges
  • Let the marinated shrimp sit at room temperature for those 5 minutes, cold shrimp take longer to cook and can cook unevenly
